Friendship Plant
Scientific Name: Pilea involucrata
Plant Family: Urticaceae (Nettle family)
Native Region: Central and South America (e.g., Peru, Brazil, Costa Rica, and parts of the Caribbean)

Brief Description
The Friendship Plant (Pilea involucrata) is known for its highly textured and often colorful foliage. The leaves are typically ovate to elliptic, deeply wrinkled or puckered, and can have shades of dark green, bronze, or reddish-brown, often with lighter green or silvery veins. The undersides of the leaves can be purplish or reddish. It has a compact, bushy growth habit and is popular as a houseplant for its attractive foliage.
Care Instructions
This plant thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged; allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings. High humidity is beneficial, so consider misting regularly or placing it near a humidifier. It prefers temperatures between 60-75°F (15-24°C). Fertilize monthly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a diluted liquid fertilizer. Pinch back stems to encourage bushier growth.
