Dragon Tree
Scientific Name: Dracaena marginata
Plant Family: Asparagaceae
Native Region: Madagascar and Mauritius

Brief Description
Dracaena marginata, commonly known as the dragon tree, is characterized by its slender, woody stems topped with rosettes of long, thin, sword-shaped leaves. The leaves are typically dark green, often with reddish-purple edges as seen in the image, giving the plant a distinctive, somewhat architectural appearance. The specimen in the image appears to have somewhat wilting or drooping leaves, which could indicate a need for watering or other care.
Care Instructions
Dracaena marginata is a relatively low-maintenance houseplant. It prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry, allowing excess water to drain to prevent root rot. Reduce watering in winter. It thrives in average room temperatures and moderate humidity. Fertilize lightly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer.
