Brief Description
The Thimble Cactus is a small, clustering cactus, typically forming dense mounds. It has small, cylindrical stems that are covered with numerous small, white, star-like spines. The individual stems are usually about 2-3 cm tall and 1-2 cm in diameter, giving it a thimble-like appearance.
Care Instructions
This cactus thrives in full sun but can tolerate partial shade. It requires well-draining soil, preferably a cactus or succulent mix. Water thoroughly when the soil is completely dry, and reduce watering significantly in winter. It is sensitive to overwatering, which can lead to rot. Protect from frost.
