Chlorophytum comosum

Brief Description

Chlorophytum comosum (Spider Plant) is an evergreen perennial plant that grows to about 60 cm (24 in) tall. It has fleshy, tuberous roots and long, narrow leaves that are 20–45 cm (8–18 in) long and around 6–25 mm (0.2–1.0 in) wide.

Care Instructions

Spider plants are tough and will grow in almost any conditions. They prefer bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light levels. Water when the top inch of soil is dry. They are also easy to propagate by rooting the plantlets that grow on the ends of the long stems.
