Arizona Organ Pipe Cactus

Brief Description

The Arizona Organ Pipe Cactus is a columnar cactus with many closely packed stems that rarely branch, growing from a common base. The stems are typically green to bluish-green, ribbed, and covered with numerous sharp spines arranged in groups on areoles. The spines appear whitish to yellowish, giving the plant a spiky, uniform look.

Care Instructions

This cactus thrives in full sun and well-draining soil, preferably a sandy or gravelly mix. It is drought-tolerant and requires minimal watering, especially during its dormant winter period. Water thoroughly but infrequently, allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings. Protect from frost. Fertilize sparingly during the growing season with a diluted cactus fertilizer.
