Oregano
Scientific Name: Origanum vulgare
Plant Family: Lamiaceae
Native Region: Mediterranean region, Western and Southwestern Eurasia

Brief Description
Oregano is a perennial herb with small, oval, slightly hairy leaves that grow densely on woody stems. The leaves are typically bright to dark green and emit a strong, aromatic fragrance when crushed. It often forms a bushy, low-growing mound.
Care Instructions
Oregano thrives in full sun (at least 6 hours daily) and well-drained soil. It is drought-tolerant once established and prefers soil on the drier side. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Prune regularly to encourage bushier growth and prevent legginess. It can be grown in containers or directly in the garden.
