Scientific Name: Zamioculcas zamiifolia
Plant Family: Araceae
Native Region: Eastern Africa, from Kenya south to northeastern South Africa.

Brief Description
The ZZ plant features thick, waxy, dark green leaves that grow upward along sturdy stems. It has a distinctive, upright growth habit and can form a dense clump of foliage. The leaves are typically oval-shaped and very glossy.
Care Instructions
ZZ plants are extremely drought-tolerant and prefer to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is the most common way to kill this plant. They thrive in various light conditions, from low to bright indirect light, though direct sunlight can scorch the leaves. They prefer well-draining soil and average room temperatures. Fertilize sparingly, if at all, during the growing season.
