Anthurium
Scientific Name: Anthurium andraeanum
Plant Family: Araceae
Native Region: Tropical rainforests of Central and South America, and the Caribbean.

Brief Description
The Anthurium is an evergreen herbaceous plant with attractive glossy, heart-shaped leaves on long stems. It is known for its colorful spathes (modified leaves around small flowers) which are often mistaken for flowers.
Care Instructions
Anthium thrives in bright, indirect light. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil is dry, allowing excess water to drain. It prefers high humidity, so misting regularly or using a humidifier can be beneficial. Use a well-draining potting mix and fertilize during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted by half.
Medicinal Value
While Anthurium plants are visually appealing, they are not known for significant medicinal value. In fact, the plant is considered toxic if ingested.
