Tree-of-Heaven

Brief Description

A fast-growing, deciduous tree with large, pinnately compound leaves (meaning leaflets are arranged along a central stem). Each leaflet typically has one to two teeth near its base, each with a gland on the underside. The young stems are smooth and grayish-brown, often with pale lenticels. It can grow quite tall and forms dense thickets.

Care Instructions

This species is generally considered an invasive plant in many regions outside its native range due to its rapid growth, prolific seed production, and ability to grow in harsh conditions. It requires minimal care and can thrive in poor soils, polluted environments, and full sun to partial shade. Due to its invasive nature, active management (such as removal and herbicide application) is often recommended to control its spread rather than cultivation.

Medicinal Value

We do not currently provide medicinal value for plant identifications.
