Brief Description

The King Protea is a woody shrub known for its spectacular, large flower heads often mistaken for a single bloom. It features pink to red pointed bracts that surround a central mass of fuzzy fertile flowers, resembling a crown.

Care Instructions

This plant requires well-draining, acidic soil and a full-sun location with good air circulation. It is exceptionally drought-tolerant once established but sensitive to phosphorus-rich fertilizers and frost. In a vase, change the water frequently and trim the stems every few days.
