Desert Willow
Scientific Name: Chilopsis linearis
Plant Family: Bignoniaceae
Native Region: Southwestern United States and Northern Mexico

Brief Description
The plant in the image appears to be a young Desert Willow, characterized by its long, narrow, willow-like leaves. The leaves are typically bright green and grow alternately along slender stems. The plant generally has a multi-stemmed, open growth habit, even in its juvenile stage.
Care Instructions
Desert Willows thrive in full sun and well-drained soil. They are highly drought-tolerant once established but benefit from occasional deep watering during extended dry periods, especially when young. They tolerate a wide range of soil types, including poor soils, as long as drainage is good. Pruning can be done in late winter or early spring to shape the plant, remove dead or crossing branches, and encourage a bushier form or a single-trunk tree shape. They are generally low-maintenance and resistant to most pests and diseases.
