Jade Plant
Scientific Name: Crassula ovata
Plant Family: Crassulaceae
Native Region: South Africa and Mozambique

Brief Description
The Jade Plant is a succulent plant with thick, woody stems and glossy, dark green, oval-shaped leaves. It has a tree-like appearance and can grow quite large over time, developing a thick trunk and branch structure. The leaves often have a reddish tint on their edges when exposed to bright sunlight.
Care Instructions
Jade plants are relatively easy to care for. They thrive in bright, indirect light but can tolerate some direct sun. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings, as overwatering can lead to root rot. They prefer well-draining soil and a pot with drainage holes. Fertilize sparingly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Protect from frost, as they are not cold-hardy.
Medicinal Value
We do not currently provide medicinal value for plant identifications.
