Brief Description

A biennial or short-lived perennial herbaceous plant known for its large, wrinkled, ovate leaves that grow in a basal rosette during the first year, followed by tall spikes of tubular, bell-shaped flowers.

Care Instructions

Preference is for partial shade to full sun, with moist, well-draining soil rich in organic matter. They require regular watering to keep the soil consistently damp but not waterlogged. Deadheading spent flower spikes can encourage a second flush of blooms.
