Caladiums thrive in warm, humid conditions. They prefer bright, indirect light; direct sunlight can scorch their leaves. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, especially during their growing season (spring and summer). Reduce watering in fall as the plant prepares for dormancy. Caladiums typically go dormant in winter, at which point the tubers should be dug up and stored in a cool, dry place until spring.
