Caladium
Scientific Name: Caladium bicolor (and various cultivars)
Plant Family: Araceae (Arum family)
Native Region: Native to tropical and subtropical regions of South and Central America, particularly Brazil and the Amazon basin.

Brief Description
Caladiums are known for their striking, heart-shaped or lance-shaped leaves that come in a wide array of colors and patterns, often with contrasting veins and blotches. The plant in the image appears to be a variety with green leaves, prominent pink veins, and white speckles, giving it a vibrant and ornamental appearance.
Care Instructions
Caladiums thrive in warm, humid conditions. They prefer bright, indirect light; direct sunlight can scorch their leaves. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, especially during their growing season (spring and summer). Reduce watering in fall as the plant prepares for dormancy. Caladiums typically go dormant in winter, at which point the tubers should be dug up and stored in a cool, dry place until spring. They benefit from regular feeding with a balanced liquid fertilizer during the growing season.
