Thimble Cactus
Scientific Name: Mammillaria gracilis fragilis
Plant Family: Cactaceae
Native Region: Central Mexico

Brief Description
The Thimble Cactus is a small, clustering cactus that forms dense mounds of cylindrical stems. Each stem is covered with small, white spines that give it a fuzzy or thimble-like appearance. When mature, it produces small, pale yellow or white flowers.
Care Instructions
This cactus thrives in bright, direct sunlight for at least 6 hours a day. It requires well-draining soil, typical for cacti and succulents. Water thoroughly when the soil is completely dry, and reduce watering significantly in winter. It prefers temperatures between 60-80°F (15-27°C) and can tolerate brief dips to 40°F (4°C). Fertilize minimally during the growing season with a diluted cactus fertilizer.
