Variegated American Baby Rubber Plant

Brief Description

The Peperomia obtusifolia 'Variegata' is a compact, upright perennial with thick, glossy, spoon-shaped leaves that are highly ornamental due to their variegation. The leaves are typically dark green with irregular splashes or margins of creamy yellow, light green, or white.

Care Instructions

This plant thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight which can scorch the leaves. It prefers well-draining soil and should be watered only when the top inch or two of soil feels dry to the touch. Overwatering can lead to root rot. High humidity is appreciated but not essential. Fertilize sparingly during the growing season (spring to summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength. It's generally pest-resistant.
