Common Mallow

Brief Description

Common Mallow is a prostrate to decumbent annual or biennial plant with rounded to heart-shaped leaves that have crenate or lobed margins. The leaves are typically dark green and grow on long petioles. Small, five-petaled white to pale lavender flowers often appear in clusters in the leaf axils.

Care Instructions

Common Mallow is generally considered a weed and is very adaptable. It thrives in disturbed soils, full sun to partial shade, and a wide range of soil types, though it prefers well-drained soil. It is drought-tolerant once established and does not require special care. For cultivation, regular watering during dry periods can promote growth.
