Bunny Ear Cactus or Polka Dot Cactus
Scientific Name: Opuntia microdasys
Plant Family: Cactaceae (Cactus Family)
Native Region: Central and Northern Mexico

Brief Description
The Bunny Ear Cactus is a charming succulent with flat, oval-shaped pads that resemble rabbit ears. These pads are covered in glochids, which are tiny, barbed spines, often appearing as white or golden-yellow dots. It typically grows in clumps, forming an attractive, mounding habit.
Care Instructions
This cactus thrives in full sun exposure. It requires well-draining soil, ideally a cactus or succulent mix. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings, especially in winter. Protect from frost as it is not cold-hardy. Handle with care to avoid the glochids.
Medicinal Value
We do not currently provide medicinal value for plant identifications.
