Peace Lily
Scientific Name: Spathiphyllum
Plant Family: Araceae
Native Region: Tropical regions of the Americas and Southeastern Asia

Brief Description
The Peace Lily is a popular houseplant known for its glossy, dark green leaves and distinctive white, hood-like flowers (spathes) that resemble flags. It typically has an upright, clumping growth habit.
Care Instructions
Peace Lilies prefer medium to low light conditions; direct sunlight can scorch their leaves. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. They are very forgiving and will droop dramatically when thirsty, perking up after watering. It's best to water when the top inch of soil feels dry. They thrive in high humidity and prefer temperatures between 65-80°F (18-27°C). Fertilize every 2-4 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength. Yellowing leaves, like those seen in the image, can indicate overwatering, underwatering, or too much light.
