Lucky Bamboo
Scientific Name: Dracaena sanderiana
Plant Family: Asparagaceae
Native Region: Central Africa

Brief Description
Lucky Bamboo is not a true bamboo but a type of Dracaena. It features slender, upright stems with strap-like, arching green leaves. It is often grown in water, with its stalks trained into various shapes, though it can also be grown in soil. The plant in the image appears to be a few stalks propagated in a small amount of water.
Care Instructions
Lucky Bamboo is easy to care for. If grown in water, change the water weekly with distilled or filtered water (it is sensitive to chlorine and fluoride). Keep the water level just covering the roots. If grown in soil, keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. It thrives in bright, indirect light; direct sunlight can scorch the leaves. Ideal temperatures are between 65-90°F (18-32°C). Fertilize rarely, if at all, with a very diluted liquid fertilizer.
