Oregano
Scientific Name: Origanum vulgare
Plant Family: Lamiaceae (Mint family)
Native Region: Mediterranean region, Western and Southwestern Eurasia

Brief Description
Oregano is a perennial herb with small, oval, grayish-green leaves. The leaves are typically hairy and grow opposite one another on square stems. When in bloom, it produces small, purplish to pinkish-white flowers clustered at the top of the stems.
Care Instructions
Oregano thrives in full sun (at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day) and well-draining soil. It is drought-tolerant once established and prefers to dry out between waterings. Protect from frost in colder climates or grow as an annual. Pruning regularly encourages bushier growth and prevents legginess.
