Chili peppers thrive in full sun (at least 6-8 hours daily) and well-draining, fertile soil with a pH between 6.0 and 6.8. They require consistent watering, especially during flowering and fruiting, but avoid waterlogging. Fertilize regularly with a balanced fertilizer, reducing nitrogen once flowering starts to encourage fruit production. Protect from frost. Potted plants may need more frequent watering and feeding.
