Marigolds are relatively easy to care for. They prefer full sun (at least 6 hours daily) and well-drained soil. Water regularly, especially during dry spells, but avoid overwatering as they are susceptible to root rot. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage more flowers. They generally do not require heavy fertilization.
